These days I'm finding that none of my friends are interested in using a blusher, but I think that it can be a beautiful look, provided that the veil is made with high quality tulle or silk and is very transparent.
I'm not a fan of the "I threw a blanket on my head" look, shown below, although she does look rather fairy-like and pretty in her diaphanous garb. Check out this black veil! Wow, it actually works on her!
(I picked up the first and third pictures from Practical Pinay Bride.)
Well, I've gone completely off the deep end with my veil from what's "in" right now, so I would fully support either decision. The blusher could work for the feel you guys are going with. And how sweet would the shots be of darling Mr. L lifting the veil for your first kiss?
ReplyDeleteHmmm ... I agree that it has to be done just right. But how gorg is that black version?!
ReplyDeleteYes, I think it works with a long veil and would definitely fit the feel of your wedding! Although I could totally see my dad messing up trying to flip the whole thing over my head when I reach the alter :)
ReplyDeleteAlso, I'd be curious if there was a specific sort of head piece/pin/lifter to give the veil a bit of lift over your face so you don't get the "flat blanket on head" look...
